Antique Manhattan Arms Navy Revolver, Series V, .36 C&B, Used



A used antique Manhattan Fire Arms Company Series V .36 calibre cap-and-ball revolver. This particlar revolver was manufactured between June 1867 and December 18. Colt and Remington, Manhattan was the third-largest manufacturer of revolvevers during the American Civil War, and they were also marketed in Great Britian and in the British Empire. This is a six-shot revolver (many of the Manhattans were five-shot). The markings on the barrel read "MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS CO. NEWARK N.J." on the top line and  “PATENTED MARCH 8, 1864" on the bottom line. The brass frame was nickeled at one time. This revolver cocks, locks and cycles correctly. There are seven notches carved into the right side of the grip.

This revolver is a used Non-Restricted firearm in NRA Antique Good condhiition.*
